THRONE OF AHAZ (SWEDEN)

Umeå based Death Metallers THRONE OF AZAZ formed in 1991 and initially comprised the duo of vocalist Beretorn (a.k.a. Fredrik Jacobsson) and bassist Taurtheim (Kalle Bondesson). The group was offered a deal by No Fashion Records after the release of the demo 'At The Mountains Of The Northern Storms' in 1992. Prior to recording of the first album commenced original guitarist Peter was sacked due to musical differences and replaced by Nicklas Svensson. The group started work on the record in March 1993, but it was beset by problems and took almost a year to complete. Fredrik was also in ANCIENT WISDOM.
